🍻From AncIent Brews to Street SIps: A QuIck HIstory of LadIes SIppIn' Beer 🍻
Ancient Girl Power
This tradition has its roots in ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt. People of all genders gathered in the open, sipping beer, and having a great time.
When Mesopotamians wanted to celebrate beer, they chose to dedicate their toasts to a goddess rather than a god. Her name was Ninkasi, a Sumerian deity who ruled over beer. Ninkasi was known for her lively and festive nature. It was believed that the spirit of Ninkasi dwelled within the beer itself. That euphoric feeling you experience after enjoying a few beers, or even just a glass for those of us who can't handle too much, was thought to be Ninkasi's essence. She truly knew how to have a good time.

Medieval Pub Queens
But these women were no witches; they were brewers and probably happily drinking on the streets:))

Beer Garden Revolution, Babe Style
During the 1800s, women played a significant role in the beer industry in Germany. They were often involved in various aspects of brewing, including production, distribution, and even owning and operating their own breweries. This was particularly true in rural areas where brewing was a traditional household activity.
Street Sippin' Today
Fast-forward to the present, and street drinking is still incredibly popular. European plazas, Asian night markets, and streets all over the world, it's all about enjoying your beer outdoors with friends, good times, and a touch of rebellious spirit.
